25 FPS Festival is inviting new films to apply for the International Competition of the 2017 edition taking place in Zagreb between September 28th and October 1st.
Filmmakers, artists, producers and distributors should submit films completed after 1st of January 2015 and not longer than 60 minutes. Deadline for submissions is 31st of May 2017. Medrar for Contemporary Art is accepting applications for the 7th Cairo Video Festival, which will take place in December 2015.  Initiated by the Cairo-based artist initiative Medrar for Contemporary Art in 2005, this festival continues its focus on providing a platform for sharing and discussing newly produced high concept/low-budget experimental videos and films. Based on a call for works by emerging artists, the festival program takes the format of a concise series of video screenings, accompanied by talks and discussions with active video-makers and curators to tackle some of the key themes and issues presented in the works. details and official web site is here.

2015 is the year of 10th anniversary of Hors Pistes, and 5th of Hors Pistes Tokyo!  The situation of moving image has been changing rapidly. The proposed residency is organized with the support of the City of Paris within its residenciesʼ program at the Cité internationale des Arts.  Visuals artists, choreographers, video makers, circus artists, performers, any creator involved in the search for new forms of expression. Artists who develop an approach in relation to human, social and economic contexts. All candidates whose personal approach is consistent with Pépinières européennes’ concept: "encounter and joint production."  For 20 years, Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes have been developing mobility, dissemination and co-production programs with more than 240 places of artistic creation and dissemination in 35 countries in Europe and internationally. They aim at promoting the mobility and accompanying the profesionalization of a young generation of artists and creators involved in transdisciplinary productions on the European and International scene.  Dates of the stay : From May 1st to June 30th 2015
